For Our Warriors

This painting is a poignant one. This painting is for all warriors. There are warriors in our family amongst our many friends, colleagues, and acquaintances. There are warriors, past, present emerging, and future. There are warriors who we hear about and those who we don’t. There are warriors who keep their battles private to themselves. There are the scientists and researchers in their super-human efforts to research vaccine options to treat and save the lives of COVID patients. There are our frontline workers: health, aged care, Police, Defence and security forces, who daily put their lives at risk in protecting their charges and treating those infected with the virus. They are all warriors. Our Fire fighters, volunteers in all sorts of Community organisations. And so many, many more warriors, all across our Pale Blue dot. Our warrior is over 30 years old. It is a standard and it flowers prolifically groups of red orange blooms on strong canes from Spring to Autumn.
